NCC
The NCC unit has been in existence since the beginning of our college i.e 1966-67. The NCC unit was initially headed by Lt. N.Ramegowda Dept. of Physics from 01-07-1968 to 31-07-1976. Later, Major Shivanna, dept of Mathematics headed the unit till from 27-07- 1978 to 20-08-2004. Currently Lt. V.C.Shivaramu, Associated NCC officer & Dept of Economics heads of the unit to the till today. The NCC unit has taken Activates issued by DG NCC New Delhi. training programme of the parade is foot drill, drill with arms, ceremonial drill, weapon drill, armed forces, map reading, field craft and battle craft, introduction to infantry weapon & EQPT, military history, communication etc. The cadets active role in Traffic Control, Republic day celebration and Independence day celebration every year, our cadets participate the national integration and awareness, personality development and leadership, disaster management, social awareness and community development, environment awareness and conservation etc. Our cadets given special interest on swacha bharat abhiyan, surgical strick day, Blood donation camp, drug awareness programmes etc. Coy 6/14 PES COLLEGE SCIENCE ARTS AND COMMERCE MANDYA Total Authorised 160 cadets and enrolled 160 cadets part of the unit. 107 senior division cadets and 53 senior women take part in the NCC activities. The boys and girls have brought laurels to our college by participating in National festival celebrations and have been placed 1 st in March past many of times. The Land army of India regularly conduct training camps for the cadets. The officials of the Land army have held Programmes for students highlighting the importance of a Career in the army. The visuals of the army training Camp have been very interesting and attractive. Our cadets attended camps like CATC, TSC, RDC, AAC, EBSB, TRUCKING CAMP, BLC, ALC, AND MOUNTARING CAMP ETC. Conducted different parts of the country.
NCC Activities Academic Year 2018-19
- On 11-07-2018, selection of students for NCC takes place for the year 2018-19.
- A total of 160 cadets for the year 2018-19, consisting of 107 boys and 53 girls from all the three years enrolled for NCC
- This year 17 days of training being provided to cadets on every Saturdays between 2 pm to 6 pm.
- Cadets participated in CATC, AAC, ADC, TSC, BLC, NIC and ANN camps and obtained participation certificate.
- 82 cadets participated in International Yoga Day on 21-06-2018 and certificates obtained.
- On 15-08-2018, our college NCC boys won first prize for the Independence Day parade
- NCC battalion of our college carried out SWATCH BHARATH ABHIYAN programme on 22-09-2018 by cleaning roads and parks in Mandya city.
- On 26-01-2019, our college NCC girls won first prize for the Republic Day parade.
- NCC Day was celebrated on 01-02-2019 by organizing Blood donation camp in the college and finally 203 bags of blood were donated to Blood bank.
- Our cadets took ‘B’ certificate examination on 16 th and 17 th February 2019 and ‘C’ certificate examination on 23 rd and 24 th February 2019 and they are waiting for the results.

NCC Achievement Details
The NCC cadet of our college unit has received commendation letter by the Chief Minister of Karnataka in the year 2014. The NCC unit comes under the Karnataka and Goa directorate, Bangalore. The Mysore unit of the army wing provides the necessary training to our cadets regularly. Every Saturday conducted regular pared from 1400 hrs to 1800 hrs, PI staffs and ANO and cadets actively participated.
